Local man hurt in Erdington attack
A local man aged 47 was left with a bleed on the brain after he was punched in the face in a brutal attack on Birmingham's Erdington High Street.

The victim was enjoying a night out with friends when he was approached by a man who spoke to him before punching him and causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head on the pavement.

The offender then walked off towards Erdington's Six Ways after the incident, which happened on Saturday around 2am on September 18.

The victim was taken to hospital where he spent several days being treated for the bleed and a head wound.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the assault.

Anyone with any relevant information is urged to call CID at North Birmingham Police on 0345 113 5000 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
