Sutton Coldfield marathon man to increase LAM awareness
A Sutton Coldfield man is running in the 2011 London Marathon to support his sister who is battling two of the worlds rarest and incurable diseases.

23 year old Ash Brough, from New Oscott,Sutton Coldfield, is aiming to raise over £3,000 at the Virgin London Marathon on 17th April for the charity LAM Action, which provides support for women suffering with lymphangioleiomyomatosis, LAM.

His sister 29 year old Donna Hewetson, was diagnosed with the lung disease and tuberous sclerosis, TS, in 2008 while pregnant. She suffered massive internal bleeding from a tumour haemorrhage on one of her kidneys, which had to be removed, and one of her lungs collapsed, needing two operations to reinflate it.

Against all the odds, Donna survived the ordeal and daughter Lily was born, now 19 months old.
