Police vow to ban 30 street brawlers from every town pub, following Sutton Coldield nightclub brawl
Police are investigating a violent outbreak in which two groups of 15 men were locked in a violent clash outside the Reflex nightclub.

Thugs involved in a 30-man brawl outside a Sutton centre nightclub face being banned from every pub and club in Sutton Coldfield town, police have vowed.

Officers in Sutton Coldfield are still investigating after two groups of 15 men clashed with violent intensity outside the Reflex nightclub on Sutton Codlfields Lower Parade.

It is thought a number of people were injured during the disorder, which happened at around 3.40am on September 26, although police have yet to receive reports from any of the victims.

Officers are now trawling CCTV images of the fight in the hope of capturing those responsible, and vow that those who are convicted will feel the full force of the law.

"We are treating this incident very seriously, as it appears that those involved in the disorder were very violent towards one another, and used levels of violence that will not be tolerated," said Sergeant Richard Cox from Sutton Coldfield police station.

"Once arrested, those identified as being involved in this incident will face charges of violent disorder or affray.

"We will present the names of those identified to the local PubWatch schemes with a view to getting them banned from all pubs and clubs in the area."

Sgt Cox praised his officers for dispersing the crowd quickly, but said that they now needed the help of witnesses to catch those responsible.

"Sutton town centre is a popular venue on the weekend and we would ask anyone who was passing and may have witnessed the disorder to come forward and pass on any information they may have to the investigating officers," he added.

"Incidents such as this cause concern for local people, and we have been carrying out patrols in the area to reassure residents and businesses.

"Thankfully, this kind of disorder is unusual and we are speaking to people in the area as part of inquiries to try and identify those involved.

"Everyone should be able to enjoy nights out in Sutton town centre without the fear of violence or intimidation. We will not tolerate those who wish to spoil the good reputation of Sutton town centre. If you were involved or have any information to assist, no matter how small, come forward."

And Sgt Cox had words of warning for those involved in the skirmish: "Hand yourselves in, as you can expect to be arrested.

"It is only a matter of time before those involved will be identified."

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is urged to contact North Birmingham Police on 0345 113 5000, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
